Pelister National Park - Bitola - Macedonia

On the southern part of the Republic of Macedonia between the Prespa valley on the west and the Pelagonia valley on the east, is situated the Baba mountain with its peak Pelister on altitude of 2601 m. Pelister-National Park is 15 km from Bitola, 65 km from Ohrid and 30 km from Prespa Lake and is situated on a larger area which widely differs because of it's characteristics from it's close and more distant surroundings The Big and the Small Lake are above the upper range of the forest and are of glacial origin. People call these laces "Pelister's Eyes".
