Transformers: Shadows Rising (Sega RingEdge 2 Arcade version on PC) - Full Playthrough

Transformers Shadows Rising is an arcade gun game released by Sega. Developed by Sega Shanghai Studio and Sega Amusements International, it is the successor to 2013's Transformers Human Alliance. And here it is being played on my PC courtesy of an arcade crack I found online (easy to find using Google). This is a standalone arcade launcher, so no need for Teknoparrot or anything like that (it is playable in TP, but I couldn't get that version to work). The default control system seems to launch with both the player 1 and 2 controls linked to one input. Gameplay is largely identical to that of Human Alliance, i.e. it's a rail shooter. The Pacific Ocean, Wales and East China stages can be played in any order before moving on to the final stage, The Moon. I figured out the gear stick QTE event stuff was linked in to the up/down keys on the keyboard, but getting them to work consistently was really hit and miss. "TRANSFORMERS Shadows Rising is the long-awaited follow up to the smash hit licensed video game TRANSFORMERS Human Alliance. In TRANSFORMERS Shadows Rising, players are partnered with three movie's stars, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Sideswipe to stop evil Megatron's plans." I've never been the biggest fan of the Bayverse Transformers designs; so many of the characters just look indistinguishable from each other and this feels particularly so here. The boss battles in this one seemed to lack some of the character of the one's from the first game against the likes of Starscream and Soundwave. Fake Shockwave, evil Bumblebee and evil Optimus felt a bit meh, although the Grimlock one was fun (and the fact it was set in Wales of all places was amusing. If that boss battle takes place in Cardiff, that's only about an hour's drive away from where I live). #TransformersShadowsRising #transformers #sega
