In addition to being a rock legend and the leader of new wave icons the Pretenders, Chrissie Hynde is a prolific artist. For their SS21 collection, Vivienne Westwood and Andreas Kronthaler turned to their old friend Chrissie for inspiration and collaboration -- transforming several of her abstract paintings into colourful, vibrants prints across dresses, suits, T-shirts and jackets. In return for permission to use her artwork, the pair donated to Chrissie's humane, no kill dairy farm project Ahimsa. In this interview, Chrissie Hynde tells us the story of the Rutland Ahimsa Eco-Dairy and her championing of ethical, slaughter-free, low-impact milk production.
