#Seakayaking against strong #wind and #waves! During a June 2023 4 day ~80 km #kayakexpedition in the outermost southern Stockholm #archipelago, the weather was sometimes completely calm and sometimes quite rough with winds of 12 (16m/s) predicted for the later part of the trip. This video shows one passage where we had to paddle against the wind and soon after took shelter on an island for lunch and to wait out the wind, which was strongest during the middle of the day. It was hard paddling work at times, but some of us took the opportunity to have some fun in the waves as well. This is one segment - more videos will follow from this trip. Visible in the video are ‪@ulfkristofferson56‬ (green sea kayak) and Niklas Pettersson (white/blue sea kayak), Anneli Alersjö briefly at the end. The #ItiwitX500 Strenfit inflatable kayak actually performed surprisingly well in these conditions given how heavily packed it was - a record for me.
