Pattambi is one of the important town and main railway station of Palakkad district. Many famous people were born and raised here. Pattambi, located on the banks of the Nila river, is an important town in Valluvanad region too. The main festival of the place is the Pattambi Nercha, which is celebrated every year during the months of February and March. This festival is very popular in Valluvanad and is attended by all, irrespective of caste and religion. Buses are available from Pattambi, which is surrounded by many small villages. As the northern part is the Shornur-Mangalore railway line and the southern part is the Nila river (Bharathappuzha), most of the development work is being done at Pattambi on Palakkad Road. This is just a casual bike ride through the city of Pattambi with my bike and the video which I shot on my Hero gopro 7.
