Today we're gonna take a look at the Kodiak disk brake caliper with the dacromet finish. This is for 3,500 to 6,000 pound axles. This is a cast iron construction, prevents flexing, keeps the braking torque consistent. It has a self adjusting design, so it ensures smooth, even braking. On the inside, let me just move the pad there. On the inside here, they use a 2-1/4" diameter stainless steel piston, which is 30% larger than in most disk brake systems so that'll give you increased braking torque, shorter stopping distance. A low-drag ability retracts the piston further than traditional models. It'll also give you less friction which leads to a cooler running brake. The ceramic brake pads are included. They provide inaudible 00:00:38 superior performance for more consistent braking. The ceramic pads will withstand higher temperatures for maximum wear. Now, the finish on the caliper is a dacromet plating, which provides excellent corrosion resistance for fresh water or salt water use, has a 300-400 hour salt spray rating. The caliper does include the two stainless steel guide bolts, the dual port lead screws, we mentioned the stainless steel piston and the ceramic brake pads. This part is made in the U.S.A. The spec on this, again, it's designed for axles rated from 3,500-6,000 pounds. Fits disk brake loader diameters of 10 inches and 12 inches. Again, that piston diameter is 2-1/4" in diameter. But, that should do it for the review on the Kodiak disk brake caliper with the dacromet finish for 3,500 to 6,000 pound axles.
