A video ok mainly photos showing the construction of my current model project a 1 :225 scale model of the R 101 airship The R101 was an ill fated airship first flown in 1929 and flew successfully for the first part of her flying career however there were defects as with any prototype aircraft and in 1930 she was made lighter and longer (777 feet) it is in this form the model has been made ok its made as a model for filming with and it ain't as good as I would like but as a first attempt at a balsa model I'm reasonably pleased with it (most of my model making has been with plastic kits)
