Nick Clark is the 2013 NZ Barista Champion and just placed 5th in the World Barista Championship Finals. He's the co­-director and co-­owner of Flight Coffee, a specialty coffee roastery focused on developing excellent people and outstanding coffee. Sounds like just the man to be picking apart what's up with this "specialty coffee" stuff? In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
