The Sambatrasse is a renowned cycling route located in Wuppertal, Germany. It is a former railway line that has been transformed into a scenic and popular path for cyclists and pedestrians. The name "Sambatrasse" comes from the combination of the words "Sambatunnel" and "Trasse" (meaning trail or path). The idea of transforming the approximately 10 km long Samba route into a cycling and walking path was conceived as early as the late 1980s.
