About Alberto: Alberto Daniel Quintanilla is one of his generation's most outstanding Mexican guitarists. He graduated with an honorable mention in Conservatorio de las Rosas in Morelia, Mexico with Professor Rodrigo Nefthalí. He has won over 40 prizes in national and international competitions, including 1st prizes in all the most important guitar competitions in Mexico, 2nd prize in the International Youth Competition of the Guitar Foundation of America (GFA), and 1st prize at the Chicago Guitar Competition. He is pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, studying with Professor Rene Izquierdo.
