Benefiting from a collaborative research programme, our Zoo Team focuses on creating environments that mimic natural habitats for over 140 species of reptiles, mammals and birds. A number of these residents are part of international breeding programmes, helping to preserve endangered populations in the wild. For true animal lovers, there are plenty of ways to get involved. From our Be A Zoo Keeper experience to Animal Encounters and Zoo Trails, a world of discovery awaits. However, our passion for animals goes far beyond creating truly unforgettable memories for our guests. From supporting an integrated conservation, research and education project in Tanzania’s Udzungwa Forest to protecting native wildlife in collaboration with David Bellamy, we always take animal welfare and conservation seriously.
