6 November 2023. A version of this lovely march in A Dorian, by Dougie MacLean, which I've recorded for the Mandolin Cafe's Song-A-Week Social Group. I first came across the tune courtesy of a recording by Richard Carver - a fellow mandolinist who is very active in the group. The Mandolin Cafe's Song-A-Week Group is one of the most interesting mandolin hangouts on the web. I would urge all budding - and budded! - mandolinists to check out the vast library of recordings available. And to PARTICIPATE - because that's how we improve as musicians.
