I had a few requests for various pieces of a DIY Batman costume from Rage On and Diegoneedsselfesteem, (and I also had to get it done because it's going to be my cousin's Halloween costume). It will be based on the Michael Keaton version. This tutorial is for the cape part of the DIY Batman costume and it's very easy to make. If you're on the smaller side, you might not even have to do any sewing, but if you're on the bigger side, you'll probably have to sew two pieces of material together like I did here in order to get the right width. The fake leather material can be found at JoAnn Fabrics (just make sure you bring a coupon for this stuff, since it's in on the pricier side), but you can always replace it with something cheaper if you prefer. MATERIALS NEEDED: Fake black leather fabric (https://prf.hn/l/Plyy0vP) - I used a little over 3 yard for my cousin, but it will depend on your height. Basically you want something as long as your neck-to-ankle measurement, plus 7 inches to account for the neck hole Scissors Needle and thread or sewing machine 1 large snap (https://amzn.to/41a1c7f) For part 2 of the DIY Batman costume, the chest armor and emblem, visit: • How to Make a Batman Costume: Emblem ... The materials listed above are the products I actually used for this project. I find that people often want to know exactly what I use, so I've started including exact links when I can find them. However, it's simply meant as a guide and you can substitute with whatever comparable brands/products you might have available in your own area. Also some of the links may be affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission from the company if a sale is made. It doesn't cost you any extra; it's just a simple way to help support my work on this channel. (I just figured, hey, as long as I was posting the links anyway, I might as well make them affiliate links) Always use caution and take appropriate safety measures when creating.
