Hexham Station in 1985

Old faded 8mm cine film shot in Hexham Station. Shows miscellaneous scenes of people and Class 101 DMUs. The day, Saturday 9th March 1985, marked the 150th anniversary of the Blaydon - Hexham part of the line opening. Events were laid on, which explains the numbers of people milling about and the engagement of British Rail station staff. UPDATE FEB 2016: The British Film Institute has made a much better scan of this old film (original, so no music or titles) and published on the BFI Player to watch here: http://player.bfi.org.uk/film/watch-t... This is combined with another part of the film, which is the view from the train journey from Gateshead to Hexham.
