Sure, the music is cheesy, but it somehow expresses a lot of how I felt that whole day hiking over what may as well have been Jurassic Park. If you haven't had the chance to explore Albania (which, lets face it, you haven't ;) ) you should think about doing it. Beauty of the Alps, 10x the adventure. As for the hike itself, I suggest going the direction from Valbona to Theth. There is less of an elevation gain, so in that sense it is easier, and the slope going down isn’t as steep so not as bad on the knees. Plus the views on the Valbona side are much more sweeping and expansive. The hike on the Thethi side is much more forested so you can’t see as much. There are 2 drink bars along the route unexpectedly(one on each side) as well, which made for a nice sit down and a cold beverage for refreshment. All in all it’s a well marked and easily followed trail, and a great day!
