La Leona waterfall is a small blue waterfall hidden deep in the canyons and caves of the a gorgeous blue river. It is located in Guanacaste Costa Rica, specifically in the small town of Curubande on Finca Don Rafs, which is a private estate owned by a local family. It is about a 30 minute drive from Liberia downtown. A beautiful waterfall with turquoise blue waters along the hike. We’ll start our hike through a canyon and inside the tropical forest. Most of the trail is next to the Blanco River, walking through caves and sometimes even swimming to go around big rocks that surround this place.
