The Northampton and Lamport Railway runs for a few miles north of Northampton along the old trackbed route which used to run all the way up to Market Harbrough. These days the heritage line operates out from Pitsford & Brampton Station. I’m too early in the running season for a ride on a train but with a chance to walk along the line using the public path along the full length, I explored all there was to see - and found things that I would not have seen from aboard a train.
