The annual sports derby between Cloetesville High School and Luckhoff High School took place at the Idasvalley Stadium in Stellenbosch. The derby was hosted at various sports stadiums in Stellenbosch, featuring a variety of sporting codes, including netball, hockey, cross country, chess, soccer, and rugby. The culmination of the week saw the first teams competing against each other on the final day. Despite tricky playing conditions due to the weather, nothing could dampen the spirits of the participants. Fierce rivalry was evident throughout the games, but sportsmanship and mutual respect prevailed. Learners from both schools filled the stadium, passionately singing and cheering for their respective teams. Headmasters Mr. Chris Jooste from Luckhoff School and Mr. Dorian Meyer from Cloetesville High School engaged in friendly banter. In the end, sports and friendship emerged as the ultimate winners.
