Yorkshire Motorcycle ride - Leyburn to Grassington (via Masham, Ripon and Pately Bridge)

This ride takes us along relatively major roads by Yorkshire standards - smooth and sweeping bends with plenty of visibility to view the fantastic Yorkshire countryside - and a great route into the heart of Yorkshire with plenty of interesting stops along the way. Leyburn to Ripon skims the hills of the Pennines and so you get great views across lush open farmland with hilly backdrops. It's hard to imagine at this point that we are so close to M1. Ripon to Pately Bridge gently climbs as the road follows the Nidderdale valley, twists and hills increasing as you go. The steep road out of Pately Bridge takes quickly across peaks of the Pennines before gently descending towards Grassington and Wharfedale.
