System Sensor SPSR (SpectrAlert Advance Speaker Strobe) Fire Alarm Overview/Test

In this video, I have a pair of two System Sensor SPSR speaker strobes. The SPSR line of speaker/strobes are in the SpectrAlert Advance family of devices. Coincidentally, they look pretty similar to the Horn/Strobe counterparts, with some differences. Oddly enough, the units themselves are a little larger than the typical horn/strobe line, mainly to accommodate the speaker. The second difference is the design of the grilles on the alarm, but that's a pretty minor difference. Like the other alarms in the SpectrAlert Advance family, this contains the mounting plate principle. Meaning, you mount the plate on the electrical box, wire the wires to the terminals on the plate, then put the alarm itself on the plate. It's a wonder many installers are deciding to install these devices on newer installs. DISCLAIMER: 1: It is a FELONY to pull a fire alarm in public, unless there is actually a fire or other emergency. However, this is being activated in a controlled and legal environment.
