This video is about the Kandy to Colombo afternoon Intercity Express train. I captured a full train ride on this train from Kandy to Colombo. Train Number is 1010. On this day this Intercity Express is hauled by a Newly repainted Class M6 797 Henschel Diesel Locomotive. Recently this locomotive is repainted with old vintage M6 Intercity Colour livery by the two railfans. Those two railway lovers sponsored for paints for this work. Now Locomotive gets a vintage and classic look due to that great work. Personally I loved that livery. ★Ticket prices:- 1 st class (Observation Salloon) : 1500 LKR (Reservations only) 2 nd class : 1000 LKR (Reservations only) 3 rd class : 600 LKR (No reservations, Open tickes only). ★ Facilities of each class of this train :- 1 st Class :- You can take a 280 degree view, Full AC, Adjustable & comfortable seats, Mobile charging outlets, Tray table, Adjustable Foot & Arm Rests, Wash room facility. 2 nd Class :- You have the window view only, Roof mounted Fans are available, Adjustable & comfortable seats, Adjustable Foot and arm rests, Wash room facility. 3rd class :- Window view only, Fans are also available, Basic seat is provided, Wash room facility. ✦Special Notice:- If you reserve tickets online, you need to pay 5% as the service charge externally.
