Join me for a walk down by the seaside in Southend-on-Sea, located roughly 40 miles east of London in Essex. On a beautifully sunny day, we'll walk down the beach, along the promenade and through the town centre as we look back through the history of one of Britain's favourite seaside resorts. On our walk, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including The Kursaal, Southend Beach, Southend Pier, Marine Parade, Adventure Island, The Park Inn Hotel, The Royal Hotel, Cliff Gardens, Royals Shopping Centre, Southend High Street, Victoria Shopping Centre, the University of Essex, South Essex College, Southend Central Station, Southend Bus Station and St. John's Church, before returning to the beach once again.
