New Direction - MKAL 2023

Warning: This video contains sensitive topics. I removed the originally published Clue 1 instructions because many knitters and participants expressed how the pattern motif closely resembled a sw#st#ka hate symbol. This was of course unintentional and I don’t wish to cause any triggering thoughts or harm to anyone. The new Version 3 PDF is the official CLUE 1 pattern to create a beautiful radiating striped pattern knit in the round. These are the same instructions that were on page 9 of Clue_1_Geogradient_Shawl_Version_2.pdf. These instructions include individual video links throughout the PDF. Even if you didn’t see the resemblance of the hate symbol in the original Clue 1 shape, it’s important not to dismiss that others saw it or gloss over it and ignore our fellow knitters’ feelings.
