Before the gig he got the chance to talk to Antony King, who is responsible for Depeche Modes live sound for more than ten years now. At FoH there are two SSL Live L500 consoles, plus a massive siderack with good old analogue gear from Warm Audio, SPL, TC Electronics and many more. The sound system consists of a massive amount of L-Acoustics K1 plus KS28 subwoofer. The microphone setup is realised mainly with equipment from beyerdynamic. The main challenge, according to Antony King, is to make Depeche Mode sound „modern“, without forgetting about their more than 35 years long history.
