Hey Everyone in this video we take a listen to the incredible Manu Katché Signature Series snare drum. This is the custom model from the second generation. This is a seamless nickel over 1.2mm brass shell. These drums are absolutely fantastic sounding and are now in high demand since their discontinuation. The hoops are Zinc Die-Cast batter over an Aluminium Die-Cast Reso. Our demonstration starts with the snare placed in a musical context, then we show you some isolated drum mixes with the snare recorded at high & middle tuning registers. Like with all our audio demos there is no limiting to enhance the dynamic response, no digital reverbs are used, the ambience is naturally captured with room mics. We recommend listening through headphones or speakers for the best detail. The music used on this video is not a backing track. Rocky put the drums down first and the music was created and recorded afterwards, much like in a studio session to help demonstrate a more authentic feel.
