Folks, I have a favour to ask. My 74 year-old father was diagnosed with Lewy body disorder a few years ago. His condition has deteriorated so rapidly that we had to move him to a full-care facility in Ottawa, Ontario not too long ago. This short video show my wife, my sister and I visiting Dad. He barely talks any more, so visiting him is frustrating. It's also frustrating for the staff that interact with him, because they don't know much about him. I send cards to the home with news from us. It helps the staff interact with him, and it makes that interaction more personal. If some of you could send a simple postcard, with a few words about your daily life, that would be awesome. The staff can read the cards to my Dad and to other residents of the home. It also gives me something to talk about when I visit him.
