In this example we are tiling upstairs on a wooden floor, so first 10mm Dukka Board should be overlayed, screwed down with Dukka Washers at 300mm centers (maximum). 2. Position of the Tiles Don't rush into laying the first tile. Draw center lines and work from there. Lay a few tiles down (or simply measure and mark) to see if the tiles will look good. If you end up with silly little tile cuts around the walls or near furniture, change the position of the tiles. Keep experimenting until you find the perfect position! 3. Tile Once everything is prepared, floor is overlayed, tile position is worked out, you can start tiling. Lay the first tile, but be neat with the adhesive, you'll want to follow the central lines you drew on the floor to make them square. This first tile will decide how all the other tiles will look.
