Nationalpark Hohe Tauern | Ausstellung Tauernblicke - Fels & Eis (Venediger FPV)

In 2022 we created six fascinating videos for the @nationalpark__hohetauern which are now part of the interactive permanent exhibition "Tauernblicke - Momente des Staunens" in the National Park House Matrei. In close cooperation with the national park, 6 areas were chosen, which are of great importance for them; scientifically as well as scenically. After that, we applied for a permission and a nature conservation and national park legal examination was carried out. With success, the flight permit for the defined routes and areas was issued.  This one is about the alpine glaciers. Every year they are retreating further. All 89 of Austria’s observed glaciers lost length last year, which you can see by the naked eye in this video. Tthe Schlatenkees in the Venediger group retreated the furthest and lost 89.5 meters in length within a year. The Pasterze on the Grossglockner also recorded a decrease of more than 80 meters. This is the highest value ever recorded in the 132-year measurement series.
