Let’s hop right into how to control hordes. So, what is the best way to control a horde in Vermintide? On the difficulties recruit and veteran you can hold a horde on your own, but as soon as you start playing on Champion you should always hold a horde as a team. Nearly all weapons have some sort of sideswipe to them. But be aware that some weapons are better to control many enemies at once because they can cleave trough more enemies with one swing. If you want to know how good your weapon cleaves through enemies you can look it up in your Inventory, by clicking the gear symbol next to you equipped weapon. In this menu you will see the strengths and weaknesses of your weapon. But don’t write off a weapon just because the stats might not be that good try out all weapons and decide after playing with them. Back to controlling a horde. Dodging while controlling a horde will add to your evasiveness and result into you being hit way less than if you wouldn’t dodge at all. So, to bring it all together. To control a horde, use the sideswipes of your weapon, occasionally shove the enemies and dodge to avoid being hit.
