Creating a Battlemap 22:54 - 3.1 Exporting your Map 24:08 - 3.2 Photoshop & Lighting For several months now I've been working on creating custom handpainted / hand-drawn assets for DungeonDraft, a custom battlemap creator. I had initially made over 1000 assets for my first series but wasn't happy enough with the art style. The linework was just too thick and the colors just weren't vibrant enough, so I decided to go back to the drawing board. This time I made over another 1000 assets, creating a pack inspired by some of my favorite concept artists and drawing a lot of inspiration from studio ghibli's background art. A good spot for getting a closer look at their art is this fantastic website that collects screencaps in high definition: https://animationscreencaps.com/categ... Now I'm a lot happier with the look and feel of my assets and plan on updating them on a monthly basis. The first update was a green forest pack which is showcased in the designs of these tutorials. If you'd like to test out my assets in DungeonDraft, I have a free asset pack that you can download here: https://cartographyassets.com/assets/...
