Kupo 2 Section Low Base Wind-Up Stand

Learn More: https://bit.ly/2QhAOGY The Kupo 2-Section Low Base Wind-Up Stand with Auto Self-Lock is Constructed by chrome plated steel with gear column which is an ideal combination of strength and safety. The crank handle raises a maximum load of 77 lbs to a height of 7.2' in 0.87" increments per single clockwise revolution, self-locking for safety. ___ Hello and welcome to this short video on the Kupo 2 section low base wind-up stand. Wind-Up stands allow a single operator to raise and lower heavy loads safely with just the turn of a handle. The geared column allows precise adjustments in height. With each turn of the handle you are raising or lowering the height 1.75”. Chrome plated steel construction lets you easily hoist light fixtures weighing up to 77 lbs. skyward . . to a maximum height of 86.6” The two section low base wind-up stand features a junior 1-1/8” receiver with a metal ring designed for bracing in windy conditions with a rope tether. The steel riser section is evenly perforated with safety slots that run its length . . . that are engaged by a spring loaded pin called the Auto Lock, activated by a small metal lever making it impossible to lower if the handle were ever released by accident under load. When the auto lock is disengaged by flipping the lever to the other side, only then are you able to lower the riser section. The handle can be inverted for easy storage and transport. Also it can be used as a safety feature since the handle cannot turn when placed against the column. There is a knob that activates a brake to lock the column once the desired height is achieved. This stand also features a leveling leg that allows you to level the stand on slight inclines. This stand comes with 3” locking casters to help it roll smoothly as both a convenience and a safety feature. If you place too much load on one side of a stand, they tip easily . . .one leg extends to prevent the stand from tipping over especially for heavier modifiers. To extend the leg, simply loosen the knob, extend the leg and tighten the knob to secure. The legs fold up easily for storage and transportation. To fold up the legs, just pull back on the two black tabs on either side of the leg . . .and fold the leg vertically. Once they are folded, the stand will remain upright for easy storage. When using large modifiers, not only do they weigh more than the light fixture itself, but raising and lowering them can be a chore. A wind-up stand can provide you with comfort and safety for everyday use. Let’s mount this Elinchrom monolight with a Litemotiv 190cm parabolic reflector. First make sure that the junior receiver is clear of the set-screw. You don’t want any surprises when you’re juggling a heavy light fixture. Drop the junior pin of the Elinchrom heavy duty bracket that supports the monolight and softbox into the junior receiver. Tighten the set screw to lock the pin in place. Make sure the first column knob is loosened, and with the Auto-Lock engaged, start cranking clockwise until you reach your desired height. Once you have reached your desired height, tighten the knob to lock in place. Adjust the light to your desired angle. To lower the stand, make sure the locking knobs are loose. With one hand on the handle, flip the Auto-Lock lever to the disengage position. Turn the handle counter clockwise until it’s lowered to your desired height. Re-engage the Auto-Lock and you are ready to strike your set. Now that’s a wrap. Thanks for watching.
