NOTE #1: With newer Nikon cameras, VR activates when you press the Af-On button, with older models, it only activates with a half press of the shutter release. NOTE #2: In order for this to work properly on a Nikon, you need to have your AF Priority Selection custom function set to "release", not to "focus". That is the default behavior for AF-C, so most won't have an issue. However, if your camera isn't firing when you focus, recompose, and shoot, that's probably why.
