What’s happening in this The Jackal movie clip? When the gay businessman joins The Jackal at his house later, he finds him no longer flirtatious and rather cold which throws him off completely. When the man looks at the news and recognizes The Jackal from a portrait being displayed, The Jackal simply reaches for his gun and shoots him dead without a second thought. He then goes to the children's hospital opening gala where he uses the parking permit he stole earlier to park his minivan at a prime spot and dresses up as a police officer to fit in with the crowd. He also uses his disguise to turn away cops that want to take a closer look at his minivan. As the Jackal makes his final preparations, Mulqueen reflects on everything that happens so far. Especially The Jackal's willingness to keep going even after finding out that the FBI knows about two of his IDs, the minivan, the weapon, his target and Declan getting involved. Adding to his thoughts the message he received through Valentina and her words about Therek Murad wanting something Public and brutal, Mulqueen realizes they had the wrong target all along. Moscow: An operation is conducted jointly by militia woman Valentina Koslova (Diane Venora) and FBI agent Carter Preston (Sidney Poitier from The Defiant Ones and Lilies of the Field). In the ensuing firefight, Terek Murad's brother (David Hayman) is killed. Terek Murad, a powerful Russian mafia boss, hires an international hitman known as the Jackal (Bruce Willis from Die Hard and Pulp Fiction) to exact his revenge by eliminating a high-profile American. As the Jackal sneaks into Canada, using several false identities, Valentina and Carter contact two people who have been in contact with the killer: Declan Mulqueen (Richard Gere from Pretty Woman and American Gigolo), an Irish revolutionary imprisoned in the U.S., and Isabella (Mathilda May from Lifeforce), a Basque activist who was once in love with Declan and is now married to an American. Declan agrees to collaborate in exchange for his provisional release. The Jackal sets up a complex remote-controlled heavy machine gun device and, in various ways, plans the attack that is supposed to target the head of the FBI. Declan spots the Jackal, but he escapes, attacks Isabella's house, kills her husband and Valentina. Declan suddenly realizes that the designated target is a decoy: in reality, it is the President's wife who is targeted. With Carter, he intervenes just in time to foil the attack and pursues the Jackal in the subway. The two men injure each other, Isabella intervenes and finishes off the killer.
