Jeff: Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this Curt Slim Adjustable Two Ball Channel Mount for a Two Inch Hitch. It has a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this ball mount with the stool ball platform will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The shank portion right here is what'll slide into your two inch hitch receiver. And if you notice on the shank, they have two different hitch pin holes here. The reason they do that, it'll provide two different shank lanes, one of 10 inches, one of 11 inches. So this first hole, if you measure from the center of that hole to the center of the ball is 10 inches. And if you measured from the next one from the center to the ball is 11 inches. The hitch balls, these will provide the connection points for your trailer coupler and you can notice it is an adjustable height. So it'll let you tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. This mount can be flipped to use in either a drop position like it is now or you can flip it over and use it in a rise position. In the drop position, the maximum drop you would get is where it is now. It's 3 3/4 inches. Maximum rise would get you 3 1/2 inches.Basically you can just slide this ball up or down along the channel and secure it in place with the pin and clip. The distance between these vertical adjustment holes center to center is one inch. Does use two different size hitch balls. The larger balls are 2 5/16 diameter. Smaller one is a two inch diameter. This to let you tow trailers with different coupler sizes. And to switch the ball you do is simply remove this pin and clip, rotate it and you get whatever size you need. This is a nice heavy duty steel construction. You can see there's black powder coating on the ball mount and then the ball platform has a nice yellow zinc coating to help resist corrosion. Does come with the hitch pin and clip to install it into your hitch receiver. If you do want a hitch lock, we do sell those separately. The pin hole diameter is a 5/8 inch diameter size. Application again is two inch by two inch trailer hitch receivers. Gross towing weight capacity will depend on the size ball you use. If you use the larger 2 5/16 standard it'll be 10,000 pounds. The tongue weight would be 1,000 pounds. If you use the smaller two inch diameter ball, the gross towing weight capacity be 8,000 pounds, tongue weight to be 800 pounds. So what I want to do now is just demonstrate how this works. I have to pull an example. Here's a two inch hitch receiver right here. So all you have to do, if we're going to put it in the drop position, slide it in. Pick whichever hole works best for you. Take your pin, slide it all the way through and then we'll clip it into place. And then you're all ready to go. And if that's too low, if you need to raise it, just go ahead and pull the clip, lift up on it to get a little release of the weight there. And then go ahead and pull your pin out. Say you want to go up to this height, put your pin all the way back through, go ahead and clip it. And you're all ready to go. Simple as that.Do you want to change the ball size You don't need to use the larger ball. Same thing. Just push the pin out, flip it right over, line it back up and just like that you're ready to use the two inch. And then as we mentioned, if you need to change it from the drop position to the rise, again just pull out your clip and pin, slide it all the way out, flip it over, slide it back in, line your pin and clip up and then put it at whatever height you need. So you can change it pretty quickly from ball size and the highest drop or rise. But that should do it for the review on the Curt Slim Adjustable Two Ball Channel Mount for a Two Inch Hitch with a 10,000 pound gross towing weight capacity.
