The State Department for Youth Affairs and the Creative Economy, along with County Government of Isiolo, led by CECM for Education, Youth, Sports, Culture, and Social Services, Aileen Kajuju held the National Youth Week Upper Eastern Edition 2024, at Police officers mess. National Youth Week features a series of youth-focused activities, culminating in the International Youth Day celebration on August 12, 2024, under the theme "From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development." This powerful theme for youth development establishes the crucial relationship between digitization and the progress of sustainable development goals. CECM Aileen Kajuju encouraged the youth to understand the distinctions in government functions and align with the necessary requirements, particularly in tendering, whether as individuals or groups and make sure they grab any opportunity that arises in the county. "The county government of isiolo has set aside 50 Million to empower Youth this year", added Kajuju Also in attendance were National Youth Council CEO Margaret Kiogora, County Chief Officers for Youth and Sports, Diba Abduba and Dr. Mohamud for Housing and Urban Development among others.
