Best of Shri Jaganmoy Mitra Songs, is a rare collection of both Prachin Bengali Songs and Modern Bengali Songs. Shri Jaganmoy Mitra is the well-known artiste of the 40's. Presenting, the album “Bhorer Swapno” of Sursagar Jaganmoy Mitra from our vintage catalogue collection for your listening pleasure. He sang several film and non-film songs for Kamal Dasgupta, renowned Bengali music composer. In early 50's he left Bengal and settled himself in Bombay as Jaganmoy. There he sang and recorded only Hindi Geets and Bhajans and became very respected artiste in Mumbai and Gujarat. The Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri in 1999. This album “Best of Shri Jaganmoy Mitra” is a compilation the legend himself, who is well acclaimed and praised as a Bengali singer. His renditions of these songs are flawless and beautiful.
