👉 In this English Pronunciation lesson I will teach you how to pronounce the letter J correctly and we will also practice the letter J with some really fun Tongue Twisters that will help you to speak English quickly and easily! 👉 In this English class there are 4 ways to pronounce the letter J and one word with a SILENT J. 👉 The most common way to pronounce the letter J and the way it is pronounced in 99% of words is as a /ʤ/ in words like Job, Just, Jump and John. The other ways are /ʒ/ , /h/ and /j/ but these are very rare and only used in foreign loanwords (usually from French or Spanish). 👉 The Letter J is the first letter of my name, JAMES. Many learners of English often make a small mistake and pronounce the J in my name as ʒ when the correct way to pronounce it is as a ʤ (same as Just and Job). 👉 The letter J is very very rarely SILENT in English, in fact, only in 1 word that I could find, which you will see in this video. 👉 This lesson has CHAPTERS so you can SKIP to the part you need to learn most. 🤩 I hope you find this lesson helpful!
