Monday! That means New Week, New Theme! For this week we're going to dive into a world that was completely unexplored (by me 👩🏻‍🦲) until now, Water Mixable Oil paints. I know, I know, you guys are here for my super hot takes and unfortunately I'm what... 30 yrs too late on this one? lol! Even though I've been quite hesitant to try these paints, I gave myself the chance to use them for the first time. It would seem that my painting practice is headed towards the use of something akin to these colors, given my willingness to minimize or in many of my paintings eliminate entirely the use of solvent/medium. This painting of the awesome Tsjêbbe @tsjebbevandamme is going to be my first encounter, where I'm going to keep using raw paper as my substrate and I'm going to use water as my sole medium.
