Ceremonial Turnover of 129 Patient Transport Vehicles to Local Government Units by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Quirino Grandstand, City of Manila September 10, 2024 “What you see here are 129 of the present 300 vehicles that are now with the PCSO. Speaking to 129 local chief executives from municipalities in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Region 2 (Cagayan Valley), Region 3 (Central Luzon), Region 4 (CALABARZON or Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon) and Region 5 (Bicol Region), the President expressed gratitude to the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) and stated plans to procure additional PTVs, ensuring that every municipality in the Philippines is equipped with necessary medical transport resources. He called for the depoliticization of healthcare resources saying, “healthcare na ‘yan. Buhay na ng tao ‘yan. Dapat huwag nang pinupulitika ‘yan.” He also reassured them stating, “Antayin na lang ninyo na may ambulansyang darating sa inyo,” advocating for equitable distribution without political bias. The Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program, a key initiative of the PCSO, focuses on delivering Type II Advanced Life Support Ambulances and other vital transport vehicles to underserved regions. Highlighting the program's practicality, the Chief Executive noted, "Ang pagpili nitong modelo na ito na ambulansya ay talagang inisip namin nang mabuti... madaling ayusin kahit ‘yung mga mekaniko sa probinsya." “So that is what we are doing today. And that is why I am very, very happy because it is a true service to the people. It is removed from political color, it is removed from all of these political forces which unfortunately we all know was the way it was conducted before. So, palitan na natin ‘yan at tingnan natin lang hindi na kung sino ang mga magkakampi, kung sino ang mga kaalyado. Kalimutan na muna natin ‘yan. Asikasuhin muna natin ang taong bayan,” President Marcos Jr. rallied the local chief executives as he concluded his message. * * Connect with RTVM Website: http://rtvm.gov.ph Facebook: www.facebook.com/presidentialcom and www.facebook.com/rtvmalacanang YouTube: @RTVMalacanang Tiktok: @RTVMalacanang
