The name of this stone house is KAŽUN. This old stone huts are known for their unique construction and historical significance representing the traditional architecture and rural heritage of the region ISTRA (CROATIA). These small round mediterranean stone hut is typically made from local limestone. The main feature of this old stone hut is a construction technique made of dry stone. Farmers had picked rocks out of the soil to clear space to grow olive trees and grape vines, vegetables. They then used this stone to construct dry stone walls around geometric plots, and peculiarity are the construction of this stone huts. Important to say that only stone was used in the construction which makes this structure really unique. They used this stone hut for protection against storms during cultivation of the land and storing tools, keeping small cattle.
