They had their turn, and now it’s my turn. Anyway, my utmost gratitude to those who prayed for my success in making this mini-movie happen! I’ll take the praying from here in hopes for better results. Once again, thank you - especially to those who volunteered to help me even if it was just a small effort! Welcome to Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands where the United States Marines and the Japanese—as finally depicted here in my channel—clashed during one of the early significant campaigns of the Second World War in the Pacific Front. And by the way, thanks to @task.force-gunship for illustrating the 75mm M1 cannons that were seen in the middle of this mini-movie. August 21, 1942 - “Exactly two weeks prior, the marines had just landed on an island called Guadalcanal, an island already seized by the Japanese. As time went on after the occupation, the Japanese have been constructing an airfield. If they finish it, they will be able to spell a disaster against the shipping lanes across the southern Pacific and especially threatening Australia. So the Americans have landed the island with the United States Marines, seizing the airfield (eventually named Henderson Airfield) with little resistance. However, later on, the Japanese landed a regiment-strong force and marched on their way to recapture the airfield. Thus, the elements of the advancing Japanese Army stumbled upon the defending marines, ready to stop what’s coming on their way.” Thank you all. Love, Roderick.
