A New Look Inside and Out The Lexus ES is known for being reliable and popular, but it’s also one of the oldest models in its class. The current generation has been around since 2018, and it’s time for a big update. According to Automotive News, the 2025 ES will have a completely new design both inside and out. Although Lexus hasn’t revealed the next-gen ES’s styling yet, we expect to see the distinctive spindle grille remain. The current ES has a rear lightbar and a pretty conservative design, so we might see a bolder and more aggressive look for 2025, possibly inspired by concept cars shown at recent auto shows. Powertrain Options The 2024 ES offers three powertrains, and there’s no indication yet that the 2025 model will add new engine options. Currently, the base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with 203 horsepower. There’s also a 302-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and a 215-horsepower hybrid four-cylinder. There’s speculation about a possible plug-in hybrid variant, but that’s not confirmed.
