Are you the third speaker in a debate? Are you unsure what you need to do? The third speaker in debating is often the most difficult to understand. The aim in this tutorial is know exactly what is expected of you as the final speaker! In this tutorial we will be teaching you how to debate and about the role of the third speaker in debating; this role is the same for the affirmative and negative team. We will be exploring: what they should say, the structure of their debate, the order in which to say it and how to prepare for the debate. Remembering that a lot of the third speaker's role is in preparing rebuttals and being flexible on the day. We go through step by step instructions on how to create and prepare for your debate.
