Katie and I strike gold with the weather on Easter Friday and ski Broad Gully and Forked Gully (left branch), Glen Coe. Top third of Broad Gully was awesome spring corn and then (very) suddenly the middle and lower part of it was what Johan Jonsson would call "shit-fuck conditions" i.e. surprisingly hard - you can tell by the horrible turns we chuck in in those sections! Forked Gully was fairly similar, nice at the top but then had to deal with quite a bit of sluff trying to take the ski's out whilst going on to the hard snow through the narrow section (if the pitch had been any longer I think i'd have failed my sluff management)..... sweet spring corn out the bottom though .... An awesome day with amazing views... Scottish skiing at its best (note typical Scottish suspicious attitude to the weather at the start with jackets on ... "it will never last!!" but it did....)
