Join us on Friday for Episode 3 of ‘SAMBAI Speaks’, a web series that breaks down each part of the science within a global cancer research project. SAMBAI is a 5-year research effort awarded by Cancer Grand Challenges, and funded by the NIH and Cancer Research UK (CRUK). SAMBAI is lead by Dr. Melissa Davis, Head of the Institute of Genomic Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine, and the first Black woman-scientist to be awarded a Cancer Grand Challenge. This mission aims to tackle global disparities for breast cancer, prostate cancer and pancreatic cancer in the U.S., the UK, Canada, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, and South Africa. Ep. 3 features the Lead Investigators of Work Package 2, ‘Exposures/Exposomics’, Dr. Gary Miller, Dr. Kam-Meng Tchou-Wong, and Danielle Doucette, who represents the patient voice within WP2.
