I respect and like the old games, because they started the hobby, and were the first serious attempts at bringing wargames to the publics attention., but... The hobby has come a long way since then in rules, presentation, and components, not to mention more topics and the games with different approaches to wargame rules, such as the Undaunted series and the COIN series. So while the old games may seem boring, plain, and simple, don't forget that we wouldn't be where we are today without their humble beginnings.
