An Electro-Voice and Dynacord sound system upgrade has elevated the regional standard for high-school stadium sound at New Caney Independent School District (ISD) in Montgomery County, Texas. The installation showcases the MTS high-output point-source loudspeakers from Electro-Voice – the largest and loudest models ever produced by EV – which offer an extraordinary performance-to-size ratio that made them a perfect fit for this application – in more ways than one. The loudspeakers are powered, monitored and controlled utilizing by IPX series amplifiers, DSP and SONICUE Sound System Software from Dynacord, further contributing towards a winning combination of compact form, energy-efficient operation and exceptional sound quality. Three Dynacord IPX20:4 Class-D amplifiers, rack-mounted in the press room, drive the system. Like MTS, these amps offer superior performance and power density while occupying smaller real estate.
