I'm comparing Yamaha TRBX vs SIRE V3 in the flat passive & boosted active mode with the not that old D'addario strings for both basses. In active mode, the bass, mid, treble of TRBX are max. While the V3 are max on treble & mid but the bass is so slightly boosted not reaching 1 o'clock. (Remember the V3 is not on full engine mode YET, while the 505 is on max power on all knobs) and in this video you might get the impression of how important the mid frequency knob is in a bass. So let your ears judge both gears, let me know your thoughts in the comment! It's recorded directly to Roland Go Mixer. For the ideal head to head modern bass comparison againtst 505 should be with Sire M2 5, I might do it later when the M2 comes again.
