Alfriston Village

Hello my Brothers and Sisters, welcome back! This is a little video for the beautiful countryside village of Alfriston located in East Sussex outside of Lewes. This lovely historic village dates back to the Neolithic period, where there are several neolithic borrows in the surrounding area within the South Downs. The village itself was constructed in the 14th Century starting with the Alfriston Clergy House (now run by the National Trust). Alfriston is mentioned in the Doomsday Book written by William the Conqueror. The parish church dates back to the Saxon period and was dedicated to St. Andrew. In this video you will see the traditional English folk dancing, The Morris Dancers, who performed the traditional dance in the church field. This was a lovely find whilst visiting the stunning village. There is no road footage because I had an absolute mare with technology this day. The SD card I had was not working properly and would not record any footage leading up to Alfriston. I do hope you enjoyed this video though! :D Thanks for watching and have a fantastic weekend!
