We wanted to bring the story to life, where she tells you the first time she meets the servants of the archdevil Zariel posing as Paladins of Tyr. As this event is not shown in the game, it's only narrated by Karlach, so we had to improvise a bit with the dubbing. This is particularly noticeable with the character Anders in the first few seconds of the short film, as his text changed several times between filming and the finished video. Because we only found suitable sentences from him afterwards during post-production, which we took directly from our own gameplays. Apart from that, we took great care to lip-sync with the spoken text in the game during filming. For this project we got support from one of the most popular Baldur's Gate cosplayers. Ren aka Rerenga Cosplay. For those who may have wondered who plays Shadowheart. Yes, Ren plays both roles. We shot all the scenes with Karlach on the first day and all the scenes with Shadowheart on the next day. Unfortunately we were unlucky with the weather as it was extremely hot one day and cloudy and rainy the next. But Ren does even more, she has cosplayed almost every female main and supporting character in the game. And her Karlach cosplay really has a lot of fans on her instagram. About ourselves. We are a group of choreographers, swordsmen and filmmakers from Germany. Our videos are realized with a lot of effort but little to no budget. So please don't expect a 100 million Netflix production. But we still do our best and use literally everything we have for our videos and are therefore very dependent on your support.
